Besides making terrible confusions between rromans (gypsies, Asia Minor immigrants) and romanians (acient latin European people) I’ve maanged to see that even guys from Southern Italy dare to criticise Romanians, while their part of the country looks like a pile of shit. While the Northern part does all the hard work and keeps the economy alive, the south looks like an extended countryside drugstore. Same goes for Slovakia, most parts of Poland and some other countries.

I am sorry, I just think that Gypsies are arrogant and Ethnocentric, period. A Gypsy friend tells me that Gypsies were created before Adam and Eve and that they are better than the “Gadje” (That’s everyone who isn’t a Gypsy). Though I can have sympathy for the Romanian situation and the problems these gypsies cause, it is hard to agree with anyone on this page as their is so much racism and bigotry expressed. Romania needs a political infrastructure and corruption-free policing.

A thief, rapist or a murderer is exactly that, wherever they are from. Every country and population demographic in the world has a small percentage of these people, from many different countries, creeds and colours. I am a Romanian man(a latin language speaker,cucasian).I have never had the slightest idea of racism,as I can tolerate all the nationalities. Let me share something with all of you: I hade a short “love story” with a gypsy man, who is a good man honest, and not so in love with gold as most of his “relatives”, a performer sportif in Martial Arts… we moved together, had plans of having a family… but now I am alone with a baby, a beautiful little girl, very sweet and intelligent, but her father left us… maybe cuz of may family rejected him in the face, and my friends turn the back on me cuz I was with him.. But I loved him very much…it didn’t matter for me that nobody in my circle hated him…but it matter for him! He was very affected, and his mother started to reject me too…so in the end, he told me at a point that he wants us to broke up… I got pregnant, he said to make an avortion, I refused, he start to make my life miserable…
You might say I have all the reasosn to hate all of the gipsies… but I cannot do that, cuz I am beyound all these rasist feelings! The point is that a lot of them changed…In Italy for exemple, there are communities of gypsies for whom the government roules some plans of education, that changed a lot of things in their system, for exemple, not all teh girls are getting married now at 14 years old, but at 20 or more, they’re going to school, have activities after-school, good jobs, and they’re do their best to become GOOD CITIZENS.

Though I can have sympathy for the Romanian situation and the problems these gypsies cause, it is hard to agree with anyone on this page as their is so much racism and bigotry expressed. Romania needs a political infrastructure and corruption-free policing.

This forum is based mostly on some pictures with a part of teh gypsies leaders…some “bulibashas” and “kings”, as they call themselves, of different clans. Not all teh gypsies are like that, but honeslty…but most of them are, that’s the truth.
I read most part of these messages… and I realize that there are so many different oppinions… I saw some messages that make me proud of my concitizens, but also some of them make me feel angry taht they call them selves Romanians…
The Romanians are one the oldest people in Europe, never conqueres, and very rare conquered. The foreigners who visit us liked us very much, our country, our people, our honesty and they all said we are good hosts.
A Huge problem here are the Gypsies…true… But nobody can be blamed…except the system here!
THEY GYPSIES ARE TREATED BAD IN SCHOOL WHERE THEY GO FOR EDUCATION! In short while, THEY REFUSE TO GO, and that is understandable! I heard about teachers who refuze them in their classes!! That is outrages! The romanian children are educated from their youth to HATE GYPSIES, and most of romanina don’t allowed gipsies in their circle.
The truth is that they are considered a PARIA in Romania… These and many others are the reasons taht they are bad, thieves, but not more then any other people! In my family, I was raised to evoid them as much as possible! I gew up and I met some of them, closer and I realluy liked them! I’m trying all the time TO UNDERSTAND THEM, and even if I cannot agree with most of their facts, sometimes it’s hard for me to accept their behaviour, we all shoud understand that a PEOPLE WHO IS ALWAYS HATED BY THE OTHERS, WILL HATE AT HIS TURN, AND BEHAVE IN THESE TERMS, AND AS A CONCLUSION, FOR MANAGING IN LIFE, HE WON’T HESITATE TO MAKE A CRIME WHEN HE CONSIDER HE HAS TO!
It’s our fault too! We don’t help them to feel welcome nowhere, we want them dead, and same time we wonder why they’re soooo bad and criminals!! Grow up, wake up, look at them differently and they’ll change in the end, that’s tha natural curs in the world!!
Someone said that a rich gypsy raped a romanian girl… Horrible! But maybe that gypsy was abused in his life at least once by romanins, or his family had to suffer for someone who wasn’t gypsy! Maybe he just felt he wants revenge! Who knows?
They steel because most of the time they are refused when they try to find a job! Nobody trust them, at least just in a small part of them, very few.
Yes, they are arrogants, but that is an instrument of defense, cuz they’re considered not more then…worms, maybe, by the others!!
Let me share something with all of you: I hade a short “love story” with a gypsy man, who is a good man honest, and not so in love with gold as most of his “relatives”, a performer sportif in Martial Arts… we moved together, had plans of having a family… but now I am alone with a baby, a beautiful little girl, very sweet and intelligent, but her father left us… maybe cuz of may family rejected him in the face, and my friends turn the back on me cuz I was with him.. But I loved him very much…it didn’t matter for me that nobody in my circle hated him…but it matter for him! He was very affected, and his mother started to reject me too…so in the end, he told me at a point that he wants us to broke up… I got pregnant, he said to make an avortion, I refused, he start to make my life miserable…
You might say I have all the reasosn to hate all of the gipsies… but I cannot do that, cuz I am beyound all these rasist feelings! I do my best to understand him and accept this fact - it’s very hard, still, after 4 years since he left me… I moved out from the city I use to live, cuz the pain was too hard for me… Now he’s even calder, he doesn’t call us, but once in a konth or in 2 months… He loves or daughter very much, but reject me with same hate that we, romanians, are rejecting gypsies…
I cannot blame anyone! It’s my life, I try to move on, he does the same… I am very sorry that my daughter is suffering cuz he missing him. I miss him too…since the day he left me.
He was the man that gave me the happiest moments in my life! But the society is so ignorant! He wasn’t strong either…Anyway!
The point is that a lot of them changed…In Italy for exemple, there are communities of gypsies for whom the government roules some plans of education, that changed a lot of things in their system, for exemple, not all teh girls are getting married now at 14 years old, but at 20 or more, they’re going to school, have activities after-school, good jobs, and they’re do their best to become GOOD CITIZENS.
In Romania teh government spend a lot of money in different projects, but unsuccesfuly…cuz very few of these plans are finalized, cuz of the financial problems.
The education and the change of people’s mentality is the only way to make gypsies change their own behaviour.
I am sorry I wrote so much, (and also for my english, not perfect yet, but I do my best to improve it).
